CRUMB  CAKE

 

CAKE :

1 box Duncan Hines Butter Cake Mix

2/3 cup milk

2/3 cup oil (Crisco oil is good)

 

Blend together all ingredients.

Pour into a greased cookie sheet (jelly-roll type 11”x17”)

Bake 3500 F for at least 20 min.

Meanwhile prepare topping.

 

 

 

CRUMB TOPPING:

4 cups flour

2/3 cup brown sugar

1 tbs cinnamon

2/3 cup granulated sugar

2 sticks margarine (melted)

1 tbs vanilla

1 stick butter (melted)

 

Combine melted margarine and butter.

Add vanilla and cool.

Combine flour, sugars, and cinnamon.

Add flour mixture to cooled butter mixture and crumble into pieces.

 

After cake has cooked 20 min., sprinkle topping onto cake.

Bake another 20 min.

 

Cool slightly and top with a heavy sprinkling of powdered sugar.
